About

Established in 1894 in the former townhouse of Richard Martin — known as 'Humanity Dick' — Tigh Neachtain is the jewel of Galway's Latin Quarter. Beautiful original wooden panelling, crackling open fire in winter, a 130-strong whiskey menu, and outstanding seafood chowder make it the benchmark traditional Irish pub experience in the west of Ireland. The corner outdoor terrace on Cross Street is the finest spot for a sunny afternoon pint in Galway.
